Rat SD hepatocytes are cryopreserved on the same day of hepatocytes isolation. MB Biosciences can also provide cryopreserved hepatocytes from other rat species and customer supplied rat upon request.

Application

Rat cryopreserved hepatocytes in suspension are used in short-term phase I and Phase II metabolism and toxicity suspension studies.

• Multiple Species Available: We provide cryopreserved hepatocytes from other rat species include Wistar, Lewis, Fischer 344 and customer supplied rat upon request; Non-parenchymal cells (NPCs), Stellate or Kupffer cells can be isolated and cryopreserved offering a matched donor set.

• We recommends using MB Biosciences’ Hepatocyte Plating and Maintenance Media for thawing and maintaining Cryopreserved hepatocytes by following the instructions for handling Cryopreserved hepatocytes in Suspension.
